Engineering Services (Bridgend) Ltd are sole UK agents for the IMCOS apron conveyors for sheared metal scrap. The apron conveyor for press-shear material provides significant advantages in terms of work organisation and optimisation of resources.

The conveyor provides the ability to have a continuous working cycle because production does not have to stop to empty the shear discharge pit, eliminating machine and labour costs necessary to maintain the shear discharge pit clear. In addition, the base rotates up to 180o allowing the possibility to segregate scrap heaps and prepare the processed material. The conveyors are designed for use in difficult environments.

The belts of the units are manufactured from press-forged plates shaped to maintain a smooth running belt in use. The hydraulic drive allows management of overloads with the removal of the obstacle with a simple reverse motion. The conveyor is designed to require low maintenance, to avoid machine stops and allow easy replacement of ‘wear parts’.
