Unlike conventional shredding methods the Rotor shredder does not cut materials but uses a series of hammers to cut punch and shear them. Unlike other hammer mills it does not work within the materials stirring them together and using large amounts of power. A vertical shaft results in a free falling action where materials are disentangled and size reduced within seconds offering a superior downstream product for ease of separation at a fraction of the power consumption costs required by standard shredders and hammer mills. The volatile action employed by the shredder ensures that materials are comparatively free from fines and dirt allowing for much easier separation of the various fractions deployed.
